The Mineral Labradorite
Labradorite is referred to as the “bringer of light.”
It is one of my favorite stones. I wear it and I use it in my practice. It is both beautiful and energetically peaceful.
According to an Eskimo legend the Northern Lights were once imprisoned in the rocks along the coast of Labrador
It is told that a wandering Eskimo warrior found them and was able to free most of the lights with a mighty blow of his spear. Some of the lights were still trapped within the stone, and thus we have today the beautiful mineral known as Labradorite.
Labradorite is truly a fascinatingly beautiful mineral
It is a mineral whose charm is not fully noticed and may be overlooked if not viewed from the proper position. Generally a dull, dark looking mineral with no special virtue until the colorful shimmer is observed glowing on the surface.
The mineral Labradorite can be used to help calm your mind and fuel your imagination
It may lead you to new ideas and insights. As Labradorite calms the mind it can encourage balance helping release the power of ego. In some people it will bring out their inner child, granting them a renewed sense of wonder and happiness.
Labradorite has been known to help strengthen the immune system by removing negative energies and vibrations.
Labradorite is a stone of Transformation
Labradorite is a useful companion through change, imparting strength and perseverance. It balances and protects the aura, raises consciousness and grounds spiritual energies. Excellent for strengthening intuition-promoting psychic abilities. Powerful in revealing the truth behind illusions, Labradorite banishes fears and insecurities, while strengthening faith in the self and trust in the universe.
Labradorite comes in many colors from deep blue to pale green. When the light hits this ring it glows.
